I wanted to share a fantastic post by Brainwise offering a different perspective of St. Patrick’s Day. I urge you all to take a read: Prophet or Madman

I wanted to draw attention to a post by Selkie on her blog, The Bog & Owl Journal, in which she discusses the sacred in an ancient Pagan context. It’s a subject I plan to post on myself in the near future but she beat me to it and quite frankly, her discussion is a very good one and well worth a look if it’s a subject you’re interested in! Find it at The Bog & Owl Journal

A beautiful day today! I love the falling snow, especially when it’s become such a rare commodity. It looks lovely falling and it looks lovely accumulating. And I’ve never really minded shoveling it (unless it’s a couple of feet at once). It’s about 29 degrees right now. It’s been a nice day to stay home and enjoy the weather.

I haven’t had as much time today to work on site-related matters but I found the time to make my round of the blogosphere (a process I’m still engaged in) and I’ve visited the forums and posted replies to comments on Heathen’s Day, which has served to keep me busy (as has a little boy!).

I wanted to get as much done today as possible since tomorrow is NFL Sunday and I’ll be glued to the TV and my fantasy football stats all day. I did do a little work on the ezine project but mostly that involved setting up a subdomain, uploading files and testing what I’d already made, and then doing a little tweaking. I’m trying to get just the right balance of information on there. I’ve gotten a couple pieces ready for the first issue but have more to do to get it ready by Jól, which is my goal.

Meanwhile, Anssi gave me permission to use his article on Finnish Paganism so I’ll try to get that added to the articles at Mos Maiorum either tonight or tomorrow. Consider this an open request to anyone else interested in writing an informational piece about some aspect of Paganism. I want more than just my opinion on the site.

Oh, and we have a couple more people on the forum as of this evening so we’re up to 14 now, I think, and I’d like to welcome all the folks who’ve signed up over the past couple days. I also added an RSS feed there so people can get information about posts there even if they haven’t downloaded the Mos Maiorum Toolbar (my own easy way to check what’s happening).

Finally, I wanted to suggest people stop by and check out Jeff’s Druid Journal. He has a new biweekly newsletter he’s putting out, which sounds like a great project.

I thought this was heartening:

Women Against Sarah Palin

This is a topic that interests most people of a Judeo-Christian background, and we don’t hear much of the Finnish Pagan viewpoint so I thought I’d share Anssi’s discussion of the subject. I thought it was very easy to follow and informative. Enjoy!
