My new post is up on Pagan+Politics. See it here.
I had some technical difficulties with GoDaddy, Google and nameservers but those are resolved now and after a haitus of a couple of days, A Heathen’s Day is back up. I apologize for my brief disappearing act (on top of my long absence due to surgery).
My condition is still improving. The doctors reckoned that 12 weeks after surgery I’d be back to normal household activities and it has now been eight weeks. I’m moving around better and doing a few things around the house. I can even hold my hands above the keyboard long enough to write a few sentences and I’ve been working on a review of Paxson’s Essential Asatru that I began before surgery. I hope to post that in the next day or so.
I’d like to thank everyone for sticking with me through all this.
I’ve had my heart valve repair/replacement moved to 3/11 at 8 am. I’ll be in the hospital for 5-7 days and won’t be posting during that time. I look forward to returning to writing in a week or two.
Meanwhile, for your listening pleasure:
My new article on Pagan+Politics, inspired by the American Family Association’s demand to stone a killer whale and SeaWorld Orlando’s curator, deals with the issue of projecting ancient law codes into the present. You can find it here.
