The Saga of Biorn
I talk here a lot about ideas of Heathen fate, and how we each shape our own. This video, the Saga of Biorn, is what we call a morality tale, an example of how we don’t always get what we deserve, and, I would argue, an example of how our fates are intertwined and impacted by others. None of us are on this road of life alone. That said, it’s funny as hell, and I hope you enjoy it. I did.
I would like to thank Aldrin for introducing me to Bjorn on Facebook. Thank you Aldrin! I hate to think this was the fate of any of my ancestors! Helheim indeed! No Viking deserves that!
Hrafnkell Haraldsson is the author of A Heathen’s Day, which since 2005 has addressed the life and thoughts of a modern day Heathen. He is also the founder of the Mos Maiorum Foundation (www.mosmaiorum.org) which is dedicated to the study and support of Paganism as ethnic religion and writes for PoliticusUSA (www.politicususa.com)
Almost reminds me of the incident with King Radbod and Wulfram the missionary. Why would any decent Northman want to spend eternity there (Christian heaven)? LMAO!
Ha! That was great. Thanks for sharing it!
Simply awesome. Poor Biorn, off to an afterlife “with a parcel of beggars.”
Aww. Poor Bjorn! He didn’t deserve that!
I was also highly amused by the casual nun tossing.
You could really feel his agony there at the end – that yawning nun was just too much…helheim indeed!
Hilarious! Thanks for sharing!
The muzak sealed the deal.
Oh gods, that is so funny. I love it. The agony at the end… Ha.
Burn my moldering corpse before the damn Christians find it!
