I, too, watched the television in awe during the Lunar landing. (and I am including here the url to a blog post I wrote on the Anniversary of the Landing – couldn't resist! http://walkingthelabyrinth-cameron.blogspot.com/2009/07/remember-this-day.html)
I have NEVER understood WHY anyone would want to debunk the Moon landings. The Holocaust I could see – it was horrible and nobody wants to admit it even happened, it would be nice to make it go away, quite aside from political craziness. But the Moon Landings are such a triumph and a joy. Why would we ever wish to say they never happened. I guess I am glad I don't understand this one – you may have to be one of these types of people to get it, and I am happy as I am!

Absolutely! And if the European Space Agency or India or somebody else sees the same things they'll just assume they're in on the cover-up too.

Of course those determined doubters will just say the photos were faked. Especially since they come from the very organization they believe faked the thing in the first place. People go to great lengths to cling to their deluisons.
