I'm with you there, Stu. I hope the US and Europe don't drift too far apart, though it seems the whole "United Europe" concept is still a bit iffy - for that matter, the "United States" concept seems a bit iffy too.

As our Prime Minister and your President seem to be 'in bed' with each other on the subject...as Bush & Bliar (sp intented!) were, I share your despair.

BUT, the only good thing is that our two great nations are still bonded together.

Unfortunately..we're STILL bound to Europe too!

Somehow the UK has become 'soft' and follows others without referendums. I think a revolution is required, but like I said....we're too damn soft!

It really is sad, Stu, as you say. I despair of my own country's foreign policy...I was hoping Obama would go farther to the left than he did. He seems far too interested in appeasing conservative elements who aren't aware they lost the election.

Perhaps our joint forces will turn on Uganda next...when they realise Afghanistan is a waste of time & life.

But then, like all these freaks....when the top man is dead some other loon will take his place.

It's a sad state of affairs...especially when the West secretly supplies these nutters with cash/weapons, etc.

Makarios, I've been keeping an eye on that as well. He's a scary guy. And I agree, it has come full circle. Personally I wouldn't mind sending the lot of them to Nigeria and bringing the gay/lesbian population here in their place. They'd make much better citizens.

In a sense, it's coming full circle. Many of the North American Episcopalians/Anglicans who object to the consecration of gay bishops and to the blessing of same-sex unions have placed themselves under the patronage of Bishop Peter Akinola, the Primate of Nigeria. Bishop Akinola has supported similarly punitive anti-gay legislation in Nigeria.

I don't want humans to go extinct but I'll for the Parousia taking place, and sooner rather than later. The world will be a much better place afterward, and not for the reasons they think.

Well there's one fucked up alternative theory to 2012 as far as the end of civilization goes. Some days, I am just ashamed to call myself a member of the human race. All the rest of them I hope that humans will in fact go extinct soon...

There's a link at the bottom to sign a petition and send a letter or something. I've done so.
