Pom: A lot of times, I does mean that. People who believe in one Divine that manifests in a myriad of forms are not, imho, polytheists. I'm not saying they're wrong or anything, just my take on it.

Absolutely, Pom. I'm looking forward to seeing what the results of the new poll look like as well.

LOL@tracking where the answers came from via map.

"Soft" poly = mono? No.

Yes, Hrafnkell, our diversity IS what makes us great!

It's so difficult to quantify "intent" that I hesitated to even make this poll. I envisioned a dozen possible answers to capture each "shading". Some people may not answer at all because there are only three possible answers but I needed to keep it from getting too unwieldy.

I agree with you that it doesn't matter what people think. Our strength is diversity. We don't have to agree and we shouldn't worry about whether we do :)

That is a lot! I didn't think it would be that many. I would be interested to see how many would be "hard" or "soft" polys though because to me, "soft" polytheist is another type of "mono-something* in disguise.

Personally, I don't care what people think though. The gods will set us all straight when we begin talking with them. (:
