What Kind of God is This?
Saw this quote this morning in the New York Times:
“Perhaps it was God who put these two great resources right next to each other. Just to see what people would do with them.”
JOHN T. SHIVELY, chief executive of a consortium seeking to mine copper and gold near Alaskan rivers that also nurture salmon.
What kind of God would this be? And you’d want to worship him why? You can rationalize a lot of things away but this sounds like he’s saying, “Well, God wouldn’t have put that there if he hadn’t wanted us to extract it.” But God didn’t put it there, you ninny. Your the chief executive of a consortium that wants to mine minerals…but have you ever studied geology? Any earth sciences background at all?
I think idiots like this should be shot into the sun for recycling. I mean, really, there should be do-overs for people.
