Changes
As part of a blatant attempt to direct attention towards my blog “View from the Bog” I am introducing a new category of post called “Bogview.” These posts will provide notice of a new post on “Bog” with a brief summary of its contents. I assert here that I am receiving no financial recompense from myself for this shameless act of self promotion. My services to myself are being provided gratis out of the goodness of my Heathen heart.
Because I am so selflessly devoted to the environment and do not believe in wasting blank white pieces of nonexistent cyberpaper, I will cause this post to double as my first announcement:
A View from the Bog: Redefining Religion Part 2: Hamingja
For my second article in a series about Heathen Religion I address the subject of hamingja, usually referred to as luck, and its role in the worldview of the Heathen.
Hrafnkell Haraldsson is the author of A Heathen’s Day, which since 2005 has addressed the life and thoughts of a modern day Heathen. He is also the founder of the Mos Maiorum Foundation (www.mosmaiorum.org) which is dedicated to the study and support of Paganism as ethnic religion and writes for PoliticusUSA (www.politicususa.com)
